The Greats Story Lab™
Sparking Wonder, Meaning, and Wisdom through Storytelling
The Greats Story Lab™ is a pioneering edumedia™ studio and creative research lab. We blend storytelling, emerging technologies, and the deep traditions of human wisdom to create films and media experiences that spark joy, wonder, and moral imagination.
What We Create
The Greats Story Lab™ is an edumedia™ studio dedicated to creating original films and story-driven learning experiences rooted in the world’s great stories. Our work spans documentary and narrative film, short-form and long-form web series, course-format learning programs, immersive XR (AR/VR) media, and story-driven digital experiences designed to bring classical, historical, and literary wisdom to modern audiences.
Through original productions and collaborative projects, The Greats Story Lab™ produces, publishes, and distributes edumedia™ that blends rigorous scholarship, cinematic storytelling, and emerging technologies for education, cultural formation, and public engagement.
Formats & Platforms
We produce, develop, and distribute:
Documentary and narrative edumedia™ films;
Educational and cultural edumedia™ web series and vertical shorts;
Online and hybrid edumedia™ learning programs and course-format experiences;
Immersive and interactive edumedia™, including XR (AR/VR);
Story-driven edumedia™ digital experiences and educational games;
Companion learning materials, editorial guides, and open-access publications.
How It Works
Behind every film, XR experience, or digital release lies a rigorous research-to-storytelling pipeline.
Our academic partner, The Translatio Project, studies a growing library of foundational texts, such as Boethius, Augustine, Marie de France, and Dante, using human-in-the-loop markup to identify moments of awe, moral decision-making, and character formation across wisdom traditions.
While The Translatio Project, directed by Professors SJ Murray (Baylor University) and Matthieu Boyd (Fairleigh Dickinson University), focuses on academic research outputs such as peer-reviewed articles and white papers, The Greats Story Lab™ translates that scholarship into inspiring public edumedia™: films, series, and immersive experiences designed to spark joy, wonder, and reflection.
